rent out its dunk tank?
A. Yes, we rent it by the day for $50/day during the week and $100/day on the week end. Contact Chief Bobby Gooch, 706-215-3091. Q. Does the JFD rent out its cooker? A. Yes, we rent it for $50/use. Contact Chief Bobby Gooch, 706-215-3091. Q. Can I burn yard debris in the City of Jefferson? A. No, the City provides a pick up service and under in the Municipal Code under these circumstances, open burning is not allowed. Reference the City of Jefferson web site, Municipal Code, Chapter 18. Q. Does the JFD do fire education programs?
A. Yes, anyone interested in having a program should
contact Tommy Porter at 706-387-7400 and leave
a message, or e-mail the request to askus@jeffersonfd.com.
Q. How can I join the JFD?
A. The JFD has a limited number of personnel. As
the number of personnel decreases through retirements, transfers, etc., the Chief makes the decision to solicit
new members. This is done through the local newspaper and through contacts within the
community.
